Fórsa has withdrawn strike action by school secretaries and caretakers after an agreement was reached at the Workplace Relations Commission on September 5th to engage in a process to resolve the dispute.

Why are Secretaries & Caretakers on Strike:
At the moment a two‑tier system exists: secretaries & caretakers in ETB-run schools enjoy full public service benefits (including pensions), but those in most primary & secondary schools do not. Secretaries & Caretakers are looking to secure equal treatment & pension inclusion for all.
